Roomba is perhaps the most recognizable smart vacuum brand on the market, but nowadays they are far from the only option on the market. The Eufy Robovac 11 is a viable alternative, as it offers quieter vacuuming, more modes, and is even less expensive. The Roomba 650 is a quality vacuum in its own right, but it can’t quite keep up with the competition in this case.
When comparing the Eufy Robovac 11 vs. Roomba 650, the Eufy has a significant advantage. In addition to being quieter and less expensive, it actually does a better job of vacuuming due to the greater suction power and greater number of side brushes. This is one situation where the name recognition of Roomba unfortunately doesn’t live up to the hype.

Smooth Navigation – Both the eufy and Roomba vacuums are equipped with technology that allows smooth and accurate navigation. You shouldn’t have to worry about collision with furniture, as both robots are equipped with infrared sensors and a bumper that server as double collision prevention.
The Robovac 11 features a dual anti collision system made up of 11 infrared sensors and a bumper. This allows for enhanced navigation and greatly lessens the likelihood that your vacuum will bump into obstacles.
The Roomba, on the other hand, uses iRobot’s acclimated iAdapt system in order to ensure that the vacuum cleans every corner of the room while still avoiding any obstacles that happen to be in the way. The Roomba navigation system seems to have some flaws on this model as it will frequently run into small obstacles like furniture legs, but it still does a passable job overall.

Fortunately, both the Robovac 11 and Roomba 650 feature an Anti-Fall system that will detect cliffs and guide the vacuum back toward safety.

Self Charge – When the robot’s battery starts to run low, you shouldn’t have to worry at all as both smart vacuums are smart enough to guide themselves back to their hub before they lose power. Difference #1: Suction Power – One of the main advantages that the Eufy Robovac 11 has over the Roomba 650 is significantly increased suction. At 1000 Pa vs. 600 Pa, there’s really no comparison. For homeowners that are looking for a deeper clean, and especially those who have pets, the Robovac is way better at picking up dirt and debris.

Difference #2: IR Remote Control – The eufy Robovac 11 also features an IR remote control to easily issue commands, while the Roomba 650 requires control on the device itself. Being able to issue commands through a remote rather than having to press buttons on the robot itself is much more convenient and much easier on your back. A lot of the reason that people opt for smart vacuums is a more convenient vacuuming experience, and having to bend over onto the floor to issue commands doesn’t exactly feel convenient.

Difference #3: Filters – The eufy Robovac feature a triple-filter system that uses two regular filters and one high-performance filter in order to keep the air in home home as clean as possible. The Roomba 650 uses the company’s Aerovac filter, which while effective is more more of a standard filtering system with a more limited capacity for blocking dust, debris, and allergens.

Difference #4: Virtual Wall Barrier – One area in which the Roomba 650 does have a significant advantage is in support for virtual wall barriers. There are bound to be areas that you’d like to block your smart vacuum off from, whether it’s a particularly messy room or an area of the living room with fragile furniture or a mass of power cords. The Roomba 650 comes with a virtual wall barrier you can use to block off an entryway or a specific area. When your Roomba detects the infrared beam being projected from the barrier, it will adjust its course in order to avoid that section of your home.
One of the main drawbacks of the Robovac 11 is the fact that there is no support for virtual wall barriers whatsoever. We recommend putting something in the doorway or closing the door, but it’s certainly a less elegant solution than that offered by its competitors.

Difference #5: Cleaning Modes – Another advantage that the Robovac has over the Roomba is its support for additional cleaning modes. With auto, spot, edge, and max features, it’s significantly more flexible than the Roomba 650’s clean and spot modes.
The addition of an edge mode is great for cleaning along walls and in corners, and max is perfect for those deep stains that you need some extra suction to adequately deal with.

Difference #6: Side Brushes – Both the Robovac and Roomba 650 feature side brushes that are useful for sweeping debris into the path of suction. However, the Robovac has two side brushes while the Roomba only has one, leaving it better equipped for a thorough clean.

Difference #7: Runtime – When it comes to keeping your house clean, it’s important that your smart vacuum have a battery that can support run times long enough to pay thorough attention to multiple rooms While some smart vacuums feature a recharge and resume feature that allows them to top themselves off and pick up up the schedule where they left off, the Robovac 11 and Roomba 650 do not support this feature so a beefy maximum run time is especially important.
The Robovac 11 can vacuum for up to 100 minutes, while the Roomba 650 can only vacuum for 60-90 minutes. On the high end, the Roomba offers similar performance, but with performance varying by up to half an hour, it won’t reliably be able to cover as large of an area as you’d see with the Robovac model.

Difference #8: Noise – There’s a pretty significant difference in the noise levels of these two vacuums. In most cases, we recommend setting your vacuum’s schedule to clean the floors while you’re away at home, but the 60dB noise output of the Robovac 11 is actually quiet enough to have it run at home without disturbing your routines.
Conversely, at a noisy 68 dB, it may be difficult to hold a conversation or watch TV while your Roomba 650 is cleaning.
If you do find yourself setting the vacuum to clean while you’re away from home, this disparity is probably not a significant drawback. However, if you find yourself at home during the majority of the day, the quieter Robovac 11 might be less frustrating to deal with.

Difference #9: Low-Profile Design – Last but not least, the Robovac 11 is a little bit smaller than the Roomba 650. At 3.1 inches and a weight of 6.7 pounds, it has a slightly lower profile than the Roomba 650’s 3.6-inch height and 7.9 pound weight.
In truth, both vacuums are low enough to the ground that they shouldn’t have much of an issue passing under furniture, and the weight difference is small enough that you won’t really feel that the 650 is significantly heavier. We suppose there are some situations, however, where that extra half inch of clearance can make the difference between your vacuum getting stuck and it easily passing through a tight area.

In order to keep your vacuum operating in peak condition for the foreseeable future, it’s important that you have replacement parts on hand in order to replace worn out equipment. You shouldn’t run into any issues for quite some time, but it’s always nice to have some accessories on hand in order to easily swap out problem parts when the need arises.
For the eufy Robovac 11, you may be interested in the Replacement Parts package that has everything you need to maintain your vacuum. The Replacement Filter set is also nice to have on hand, as the filters are the filters are the part of the robot that will need changing the most.
The Roomba 650 also has a Replacement Parts package, and if you have more areas that you’d like to block access to, picking up more Virtual Walls might not be a bad idea.
eufy Robovac 11 vs. Roomba 650 — Our Thoughts
Ultimately, we feel that the Robovac 11 is the superior vacuum in pretty much every sense of the word. It’s quiet, lightweight, offers superior suction, more size brushes, and more options for cleaning than you’d see with the Roomba 650. The addition of IR remote control is also a significant advantage, as it makes it far easier to issue commands to your smart vacuum. If those advantages weren’t enough, it’s also less expensive than the Roomba 650 while still managing to offer all of these additional features.
The only real situation that we’d recommend the Roomba 650 in over the Robovac 11 is if you have a lot of areas that you need to block off with the virtual wall barriers. Even then, it’s not too difficult to block off areas physically with a door or other obstacle — even if it’s a little bit more inconvenient.
So long story short, buy the Robovac 11. You’ll get a whole host of features at an affordable price, and we’re confident that you won’t be disappointed.
